It is no secret. If you know me, you know I adore blush! It is one of those things I will always notice on a person. There are just so many beautiful shades out there that can help add a gorgeous glow to your everyday look.
Last week I picked up Rimmel's Stay Blushed! cheek tint in Pop of Pink. I am really loving it which was why I wanted to review it this week. I had been reading everywhere about cream blushes and how if you have nixed them from your makeup kit, you should give them another try. I was completely guilty of that. Back in 2010 I had bought Tarte cream blush sticks. I loved the colours, but when I got them home and wore them for a full day, by the end of the day I hated how they felt on my skin. Needless to say it was a waste of $45 dollars. Ouch. However, reading this article the other day I thought it was time I gave cream blush another try.
The thing I love about Rimmel's Stay Blushed is how light weight it is. It's easy to blend and when it's on my face I don't know it's there. It also has incredible staying power. You only need a tiny little dab to do the trick too. A little goes a long way! Did I mention it's only $6.99? It comes in 5 different shades. Personally, I like to use it under a powder blush for extra staying power. I have to admit, I like layering blush colours. Or blush and highlight. Right now the duo I am digging is this cheek tint with Milani's Baked Blush in Luminoso. I had read so much about Milani's Baked blush, so I was on the hunt for it. It's a hard brand to find! Believe it or not I finally found it at Zehrs. It $9.99 and incredibly creamy. It has a beautiful shimmer to it as well. It has been compared to NARS blush in Orgasm, in terms of the consistency and colour. When applied on top of Rimmel's Pop of Pink cheek tint it creates a beautiful natural glow with a hint of shimmer. So it's up to you. Rimmel's Stay Blushed can easily be worn on it's own to add a natural pop of blush to your look, or with another blush if you want to amp it up a bit!
That's it for this weeks Sunday Review. Short and Sweet. If you decide to try this product out, let me know what you think in the comments section below.
