It's funny because I think about all of the brides who have trusted me on their big day, and now that I am a bride to be I can finally put myself in their shoes. The trust you have to put in that person to apply your makeup for the photos (that you pay a pretty penny for) that immortalize your wedding day is paramount (in my humble opinion). Not only is that a lot of pressure, but to me it is also an honour that people trust me enough. Some people have asked me if I would like to have someone else do my makeup on my wedding day, to take the pressure off doing it myself. To that I say, see above reasons 1-4. All kidding aside, to me doing makeup is almost therapeutic. I love doing it. I love how it makes me feel, and most of all how it makes other people feel. Knowing that I am capable of doing something that seems simple to me, but makes others feel so good that day is a feeling I will never tire of.
With all of that said, the true question will be. What will I wear?! On my face that is. I've already got my dress.
Anyways, bridal talk aside, I am so glad to be back in Kitchener/Waterloo for the tail end of wedding season. If you're getting married, or know anyone who is and would like to have their makeup done please pass along my details ( As long as it's not on October 10, 2015 - sorry to the brides who have contacted me about this day already - I wish I could, truly).
More pics from the shower. Seriously though. How cute are they?
