and I am not happy about it. Nor is my skin. So, I thought I would write a blog post on the importance of skin care with the changing seasons.
At Shoppers I have had many people come in looking for relief for dry, chapped skin. Either on their hands, face, or both! It is important that when we are using strong cleansers on our hands and face that we rehydrate that skin - as those cleansers can be immensely drying.
For those of you who have oily, or acne prone skin (like myself), you will know that any sort of acne treatment- prescribed and non- can really wreak havoc on your skin. It makes our skin flaky, dry, and sometimes even painful. The worst part is you CANNOT cover skin in that condition. If you apply foundation, BB cream, or concealer to dry skin it will look like scaly old paint. Not the look we were going for.
...with the IMATS that is.
Today I went to the IMATS (International Makeup Artist Trade Show) in Toronto. I took this picture of a model that was in front of the Makeup Forever booth. I snapped a few quick pictures of her, as there were many in line waiting to take a picture of this artist's work. Makeup truly is artistry. Everywhere I looked today I saw creative people looking for ways to express their ideas through makeup.
